My name is Amanda and I’m a counsellor who works with adults, children and teenagers.

The types of counselling I work with are called Humanistic Existential and CBT. These help you to explore difficult struggles and personal experiences in your life in a supportive and nurturing way.

CBT focuses on personal coping strategies, working on current problems and changing unhelpful patterns in your thoughts, beliefs, attitudes, behaviours, and emotions.

I will work closely with people to overcome life’s uncertainties, tackle fears, find out what’s causing unhappiness, and build self-awareness. From there, you can decide whether you need to make changes, and if so, set goals to make those changes and plan your future.

I have particular experience in working with anxiety, anger and trauma.

For me, helping others is a passion and a far cry from working in the insurance industry for more than 30 years. I love walking, reading and spending time with my family.
