Our story
Platfform Wellbeing provides training around mental health, workplace wellbeing support and counselling to organisations and individuals across the UK. We aim to bring an alternative trauma-informed approach to mental health, working with organisations across all areas of the private, public and third sector to build empathy, understanding, and connection.
We combine our award-winning counselling services (previously known as Breathe) with workplace wellbeing training. Our approach provides a much longer-term way of understanding and managing mental health challenges in a preventative rather than reactive way. Our team is made up of over 85 counsellors, psychologists and workplace experts who are all passionate about changing the world through our kind and compassionate approach.
All profits from Platfform Wellbeing are reinvested back into the charity helping to further our joint mission of sustainable mental health for all. See a summary of our annual report here or email hello@platfformwellbeing.com. for the full document.
About Platfform
The charity for mental health and social change.
Platfform works with people who are experiencing challenges with their mental health, and with communities who want to create a greater sense of connection, ownership and wellbeing in the places where they live.
Their strategy and values are based on their mission to be a platform for connection, transformation and social change.
Platfform runs 120 projects and services across crisis prevention and home; employment, volunteering and skills development; children, young people and families; and wellbeing, supporting over 9000 people a year.
Platfform manifesto for change
Platfform are calling for an evolution in the way that mental health is understood and treated.
Working with over 9000 people a year who are experiencing challenges with their mental health, they have seen the same patterns emerging. The helping systems in place are not working; our collective mental health is worsening.
“The systems need to be redesigned to take into account the things that are really affecting our collective mental health; poverty, adversity, injustice and trauma”.
The manifesto lays out the steps we can all take to build a brighter future for mental health in Wales.
